Dr Harold Caballeros

Rector and Founder Universidad San Pablo de Guatemala

Harold Caballeros was born in Guatemala in 1956, he was married to Cecilia Arimany in 1980, and they are the parents of four children: Harold Jr., Andrea, Christina, and David.

 

He is a Guatemalan entrepreneur with more than thirty five years of experience, in real estate business, education and evangelical preaching. Founder and CEO of El Shaddai Ministries, and its subsidiaries, as other well-known companies.

 

Education

 

  • He graduated as a lawyer from Universidad Francisco Marroquin, he also received Christian theology studies where he got a degree in Christian Philosophy of Education and Leadership from Oral Roberts University – Tulsa, OK, U.S.A. 

 

  • He has several postgraduate studies: Master in Science of Professional Management, Master in Business Administration from University of Miami – Florida, U.S.A., Master in Foreign Affair from Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University, in U.S.A.

 

  • Dr. Harold Caballeros is a Fellow at the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs from Harvard University, and has received a Doctorate of Theology in Pastoral Ministry from California Christian University – California, LA, U.S.A. 

 

  • He obtained an Honorary Doctor of Ministry from Orlando Christian College – Miami, FL, U.S.A.  and an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity from All Nations Institute International – Benin City, Nigeria



Notable Achievements

 

  • Currently, Dr. Harold Caballeros serves as Rector and Founder of Universidad San Pablo de Guatemala (San Pablo University of Guatemala). 
    • In 2006, the university was conceived with the idea that it wants to contribute to the development of the country by investing in people via a Technological University. The University’s main objective is to create professionals with academic excellence, moral values and desire to serve their community.

 

  • Dr. Caballeros, introduced himself to the political sector in 2006 when he created a new political party called “Visión con Valores ViVa” (Vision with Values, VIVA).  During the presidential campaign of 2011, he ran as a candidate. 

 

  • In 2014, Guatemala Ministry of Foreign Affairs extended a recognition as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Guatemala.  

 

  • Between 2012-2013, he served as Minister for Foreign Affairs of Guatemala.

 

  • In 1997 he founded AM Radio Visión Station, a station targeting Guatemalan youth as its main audience, giving them a moral and cultural program that helps to contribute to the development of young people in Guatemala. 
    • The station grew to become a 25-radio station network that covers the entire nation with its 24 hour a day programming.

 

  • In 1986, he was the Founder and CEO of Colegio Cristiano Bilingüe El Shaddai (El Shaddai Bilingual Christian School). In the last twenty years it established another nineteen schools all over country. The schools range from K to 12th grade and are completely bilingual.

 

  • Founder of El Shaddai Church in 1983, a Christian Training Center, El Shaddai’s congregation stands out amongst the rest. 
    • He worked in this ministry for more than twenty years as a General Pastor, and during his proactive participation he achieved a number of results, not the least of which was an extremely accelerated growth rate, having 12,000 members in Guatemala City alone. The church’s temple, inaugurated on October 2002, seats 6,000 people. 
    • In present day, it is Cecilia and David who actively participates in leadership to the Guatemalan community via the church. 
    • El Shaddai Ministries provides jobs for over 165 people and has, since its inception –almost 20 years ago- considerable assets in human resources, properties, and financial resources.



Dr. Caballeros has conducted seminars, conferences, and evangelistic crusades in 50 countries spread out over five continents. He is TV and Radio host, also a highly coveted public speaker. He had the opportunity to conduct a radio program called “Compartiendo la Visión” (Sharing the Vision), the themes of which are based on human values and improving the listener’s lives by applying Christian ideologies to everyday circumstances.

 

He has also published and edited several inspirational and personal self-improvement. He is the author of the following books: 

 

  • Spiritual Victory, published in October 1999 in Spanish; translated into English, Portuguese, French, Russian and Japanese. Caribe Publishing, Thomas Nelson Publishing and Prophesying Life Publishing
  • God Invites Us to Dream. Published in May 2002 in Spanish. Peniel Publishing; The Transforming Power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Editorial Peniel. 2004.

 

Editor of Transforming Power of Revival. Published in October 1998 in English and Spanish and translated into Russian, Peniel Publishing. Contributing author of the book Breaking Strongholds in Your City, edited by Dr. C. Meter Wagner. Translated into Spanish. Regal Publishing Company.

 

Last but not least, since 1992, he has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Church Growth International (Seoul, Korea), which brings together over thirty of the largest Pentecostal ministries in the world.
